The Membership Chair will be responsible for leading and growing membership for the Home School Association for Military Families (HSAMF). The candidate for this position reports to the HSAMF Executive Director.
Develop and implement strategies for recruiting new members and retaining existing members
Promote and achieve awareness of membership benefits
Develop and maintain informational material which describes the benefits of membership
Create updates for newsletters and social media outlets
Develop and implement strategies for welcoming new members and re-instating lapsed members
Provide a written report to the Executive Director prior to board quarterly meetings.
Strong written and verbal skills a must. Enjoy working with people, enthusiastic personality. Strong organization and time management skills. Flexibility. Proficiency at Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to engage others with enthusiasm and passion for the mission of HSAMF
Willingness to lead, take charge and offer opinions and direction in a positive manner
Ability to organize and prioritize work on multiple projects with attention to detail
Understanding of homeschooling and/or military families preferred but not required
Experience in the nonprofit sector preferred but not required
