Join us Tuesday, October 18th from 6-7:30pm for a Volunteer Information Session to find out how you can help your neighbors enroll in affordable health care. You will learn:
- Why your help is needed and the impact it will make
- What the Certified Application Counselor (CAC) role entails
- The basics of the Affordable Care Act
- How to get the training you need to be successful (it's online and FREE)
- What's involved during an enrollment session with a client
- Time and commitment expectations
- Much more
As a CAC you will assist at a variety of open enrollment events throughout the Northern Virginia region to help individuals and families understand their health coverage options, walk through the steps to enroll in a qualified health care plan and understand their benefits. The Affordable Care Act's 4th Open Enrollment cycle runs November 1, 2016 - January 31, 2017.
RSVP to Terry at tgoplerud@nvfs.org. Attending doesn't obligate you to sign up to volunteer.
