Multiple Volunteer Positions Available

We are currently recruiting volunteers for the 2017 - 2018 school year. We are in need of volunteers for the following areas and times. If you are available, we would love to have your support. We would welcome any days or times that you would be willing to donate.

1. Main entrance support 7-8AM M-F (one person needed daily). This consists of welcoming students to school and swiping their IDs in as they arrive, using a barcode scanner.

2. Computer Lab supervision 7:30-8AM M-F (one person needed daily). This consists of monitoring students in the lab, who may come in to use the computers and/or print. Some students may need to be reminded that they cannot bring food into the lab. Occasionally, the printer may need to be refilled with paper that we provide.

3. Monitoring students in the hallway 7:15-8AM M-F (2-4 people needed). This consists of redirecting students if they come upstairs too early (before 7:30AM). They need to be reminded that they must wait in the cafeteria. In addition, once students are allowed upstairs, the presence of an adult helps remind them that they cannot bring food upstairs or eat in the hallway.

4. Monitoring students in the Library/Media Center 10:15AM-1:45PM W; 10:45AM-2:25PM M, T, Th, F (one person needed daily). This consists of checking students off as they arrive each lunch period, making sure the noise level is kept down throughout the period, and making sure students remain in the Library for the duration of the period. There will be other adults (tutors) in the library with you each day.

5. Office/clerical support in the Main Office 7:30AM onwards M-F (one person needed daily). This would consist of helping the clerks with answering phones, receiving main office guests, filing documents, and data entry.

6. Office/clerical support in the Guidance Office 10AM onwards M-F (one person needed daily). This consists of helping to monitor students as they come to the College Lab on their lunch periods, answering phones, and filing documents.
