The museum has had a huge undertaking of removing trees from the property for forest health, safety and sustainability. Volunteers would help with cleanup, trail building and maintenance, and selective replanting.

In addition volunteers could help with our everyday activities of weeding, flower planting, walk way maintenance, pruning, rockpile maintenance - our general landscaping needs.

The Rice Northwest Musuem of Rocks qand Minerals houses a world-class collection recognized as the finest in the Pacific Northwest and one of the best in the nation. The Museum showcases not only fine rocks and minerals, but also fossils, meteorites, lapidary art, and gemstones from both the Pacific Northwest and all around the world. The Rice Northwest Museum offers extensive opportunities for education and learning more about geology, mineralogy and lapidary arts.
