One-pan dinner

Steps to End Domestic Violence's Emergency Shelter is a safe living space for individuals fleeing abuse and survivors of recent abuse. During their time with us, service users and their children begin to rebuild their lives after abuse. Every Wednesday night, up to 15 Shelter residents sit down together to share dinner at a Shelter resident meeting and connect with each other. Help nurture their stomachs and souls by bringing a prepared meal to a drop-off location, Kampus Kitchen in Colchester!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to assist in the transition to a safe, independent life for all those who have been affected physically, sexually, emotionally, or economically by domestic abuse and to work to promote a culture that fosters justice, equity, and safety.

Description

Formed in 1974, Steps to End Domestic Violence (formerly known as Women Helping Battered Women) has evolved into the largest provider of domestic violence services in Vermont. In addition to providing emergency shelter and housing advocacy, Steps to End Domestic Violence offers 24-hour hotline services, legal advocacy, economic justice, transitional housing, programs for youth and children, and education and prevention programs.
