Math-loving tutors are needed by motivated students and teachers at Minneapolis Adult Education.
Volunteers are asked to help once a week for 3 months, more if desired. The scheduling choices are:
Thursday and/or Friday mornings, 10:35-11:30. A student needs an in-class tutor due to a vision impairment. Coursework is at the level of fractions, decimals, percents. A classroom tutor might be needed Wednesdays and Thursdays in the morning or early afternoon in the near future.
Thursday evenings, 7:30-8:50, through December 15, another student with vision impairment needs 1:1 help. The subject matter is arithmetic, basic decimals and fractions, and using a calculator.
M-Th evenings the options are 6:00-7:25 (fractions, decimals, percents, etc) and 7:35-8:50 (algebra, geometry).
