The California Nursery Garden Club

Join us in the gardens of the California Nursery Historical Park. We meet every Monday and Thursday from 10:00 to 12:00. We have several historic gardens that we are taking care of: rose garden, succulent garden, shade garden, and pollinator garden.

Each week we will be doing seasonal activities to keep our gardens looking beautiful: weeding, raking, watering, planting, and pruning. Bring gloves, water, and your favorite garden tools. We also have tools to share.

This park is located at Nursery Avenue and Niles Boulevard. The rose garden is on the right as you drive in. Park opposite rose garden next to chain-link fence and introduce yourself as a new volunteer to anyone who is working. We will be in the rose garden, the adjacent cactus garden, in the lawn area, or in the gardens further north.

Our park has a little museum and you can find out about the history of the California Nursery Company which was established in 1884! Roses! Palms! Lots of Plants!

Weekend work parties for groups of 10 or more can be arranged. We will happily verify your school community service hours.

Ages 16 and above, unless accompanied by a parent.
Everyone must sign a liability waiver.
We adhere to outdoor community health guidelines.
Less than 18 must have parent signature.
You may print, review, and sign the forms before you arrive.
