ORGANIZATION: OAKLAND CATHOLIC WORKER

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 11 people are interested

The Oakland Catholic Worker coordinates a Christmas gift program that provides gifts for about 250 people in need (mostly children) each year. We need volunteers to interview families about what they want for Christmas (favorite toys, clothing sizes, etc.) Most families speak Spanish or Cantonese, so volunteers should be proficient enough in one of those languages to translate back and forth from English.

Tentative dates/times for interviews are 12pm-4pm on Oct. 11th, 12th, and 18th, and 10am-2pm on October 14th, with additional interviews possible on the 15th, 16th and/or 21st.
