If you are an empathetic listener, if you know about resources for women in Hennepin County and want to be a role model for women making positive changes in life, join a small weekly support and resource-sharing group for women on probation as a Volunteer. Your role is to be a convener of the group, a good hear and a connector to resources (childcare, affordable medical, leisure and recreation on the budget; education and employment)

The mission of Hennepin County Department of Community Corrections Volunteer Services is to promote public safety by expanding community partnerships, extending program services, and fostering teamwork and productivity among talented staff and volunteers, thus adding vitality to the community and the department.
Description
Adult Field Services 1) Provides the courts with information and recommendations needed to make informed dispositions and 2) Provides or makes referrals for appropriate human services to adult court-referred clients. Family Court Services helps parents by being innovators in providing mediation for resolving custody and visitation disagreeements and by providing court ordered evaluations.
