At ucpn, medical, nursing and clinical services (i.e. occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, psychology) are available at the main campus through the Fortunoff Treatment and Rehabilitation Center. The Day Habilitation program serves individuals ages 21 and older who are developmentally disabled. At times, the individuals require assistance being transported to and from their scheduled appointments, within the building.

The volunteer transporter will assist in getting the participants to their appointments on time.

Volunteer Participant Transporter Description:

  • Transport participants between their program room and medical offices for schedule appointments.

  • Transport participants between their program room and nursing office for daily visits.

  • Transporters help make sure that the participants reach their destination on time.

  • Communicate information between nurses and/or medical specialist and staff within the assigned program rooms.

  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following agency policies and procedures.

Volunteer opportunities within :
