Date: Shift #1: Tuesday, December 19 from 7am to 1pm

Shift #2: Tuesday, December 19 from 12pm to 6pm

Shift #3: Wednesday, December 20 from 7am to 12pm

Shift #4: Wednesday, December 20 from 12pm to 6pm

The Salvation Army Fulton Heights Corps Community Center, 1235 Fulton Street East, Grand Rapids, MI 49503

Description: Help us in our effort to provide over 6,000 children in Kent County with Christmas gifts. Volunteers are needed to help with the following areas for each shift:

• 5-10 Parking Attendants & Gift Carriers- help control the flow of traffic in our parking lots and assist clients in carrying out gifts to their cars. Rotate between parking attendant and gift carriers each hour.

• 40 Shopping Assistants- help parents "shop" for gifts for their children. Carry bags full of gifts for the families and guide them through our toy shop. Bilingual- Spanish speaking preferred but not required

• 5-10 Toy Sorters- help out "behind the scenes" by sorting through gifts to display at tables

• 5-10 Floating Volunteers- fill in where needed to provide breaks for volunteers

Qualifications: 18 years or older. Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required. Must be able to stand for 6 hours and lift 20 lbs.
