WE NEED YOU to help girls’ learn non-traditional careers in the world of construction, to strengthen math and science skills in real world situations, and to build self-confidence and "Can-Do" attitude.

Rosie’s Girls is a unique summer program for 11-13 year old girls designed to introduce them to STEM related careers. Participants are introduced to welding, carpentry, concrete finishing, art projects, and materials management. Volunteers assist with day to day camp operations as well as provide encouragement in project labs. No construction related experience needed.

  • All volunteers are required to complete a YWCA background check at least 10 days prior to volunteering.
  • Volunteers should arrive 30 minutes prior to start of assigned time.
  • All volunteers are welcome to join us for lunch before/after or during their assigned shift.
  • Concrete, Carpentry and Welding volunteers must wear long pants and hard soled shoes during volunteer shifts.
  • Safety equipment will be provided where required.
