We are currently looking for volunteers who are available by 2:30 or 3:00 to tutor students after school.

As always, School on Wheels is looking for volunteers to tutor for one hour a week with homeless children and youth. The wonderful kids we serve are living in shelters and other locations throughout Southern California. No previous tutoring or teaching experience is required, just a willingness to make a real and lasting difference in a young person's life by helping them academically. And you'll be volunteering with a student in a grade and age range that you're comfortable with, on a day and time that works for you!

Bilingual tutors in Spanish are always a plus!

No experience is necessary - we provide training. The first step to becoming a tutor is to watch a 2-minute orientation video before completing an application. Watch our video here:
