General event info: Celebrate all that fall has to offer! Enjoy the fall colors, pick apples to feed the cows, visit the farm animals, walk a llama, enjoy music on the lawn, make a fiber craft, watch the annual Sheepherding Trials, or just simply enjoy being outdoors in the gorgeous Minnesota fall!
Volunteer roles
- No specialized training required for: greeting/orienting participants or tending bonfires.
- Specialized training needed to help with: fiber art crafts, farm animal stations, apple orchard stations.
Schedule
Saturday, October 11 - 8:30a to 4:00p
Sunday, October 12 - 8:30a to 4:00p
Half- and full-day shifts available. We'll have a potluck lunch for volunteers along with coffee, tea, cocoa, and pocket snacks for volunteers.

The mission of Three Rivers Park District is to promote environmental stewardship through recreation and education in a natural resources-based park system.
Description
Volunteers help to make the Park District a fun, safe, educational environment for people of all ages, interests and abilities. Volunteers may be involved with nature, cultural history, recreation and farm programs; site enhancement; events; golf course; public safety; and, natural resources management. - This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
- Must be at least 16
- Orientation or Training
- 3-7 hours
- Wear appropriate attire for fully outdoor shift. Ability to sit or stand for duration of shift. Some roles require walking throughout park on paved or gravel surfaces. Friendly and open; ability to communicate with others verbally.
