*3 volunteer openings for the afternoon shift as of October 27, 2016

- All volunteers must submit application at www.SalvationArmyBradenton.org and click "volunteer" for the app. Teens 14 & up submit applications as well.
This is a "child-friendly" volunteer event during the holidays.
Families & groups with children as young *7 years old have a chance to make memories and volunteer together to sort toys & bundle Christmas packages for children in need.
-Volunteers will need to dress comfortably & neatly with closed shoes for protection. Refrain from shorts and tank tops.
-bring a smile & willingness to help with bending, lifting a few pounds, walking, and standing regularly.
-be able to commit to a minimum of 3 hours starting at either 9am or 12pm.
-this volunteer project & it's activities are not suitable for children under 7 years old

Description
We are the Salvation Army of Manatee County and we combine our global mission of preaching the gospel & meeting human needs, with our passion for our local community and call it Mission Manatee.
Our unit is locally driven, funded and focussed. Volunteers are essential in serving our community and we want to recruit, work with and celebrate kindness, compassion, dedication and service.
Our facility in Downtown Bradenton houses two shelters - one of which is the ONLY emergency shelter for woman/children in our county- a large commercial kitchen, food pantry and social service offices to respond to the needs of our homeless community and those at risk of becoming homeless.
