Have you thought about becoming a hospice volunteer who can provide companionship to patients near the end of life? Join our team at Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care of Maryland by attending our Volunteer Orientation at our office in Upper Marlboro. This 6 hour course will provide you with the history and philosophy of hospice care as well as information about the dying process, grief, bereavement, family dynamics, and spiritual concerns. We'll focus on the role our volunteers play in providing companionship, caregiver relief and supportive presence to our patients and their loved ones. Class Date is Saturday, October 20 from 9:00am to 3:00pm. To obtain a registration packet, please contact Karleen Lombard at klombard@seasons.org or call 888-523-6000. You will need to request the registration packet by October 1.
