The Classroom Speakers Program is a curriculum-enhancement / reinforcement project that brings your passion into the classroom to help make learning come alive. Community Resources' speaker listings are available to teachers in Denver Public schools and are an incredibly valuable resource. bringing new experiences &/or reinforcing concepts in the classroom. Mission Statement

Community Resources, Inc.(CRI) supports literacy, academic achievement, and curriculum enhancement for students and their families by providing programs and activities which utilize community volunteers as teachers, speakers, mentors and professional advisors.

Description

Community Resources, Inc. provides educational opportunities to more than 100 schools and 70,000 students each year. To accomplish this, CRI calls upon the knowledge, energy and commitment of hundreds of volunteers from the community. CRI brings volunteers into classrooms to share information and expertise on hundreds of topics. CRI also creates family reading, math and science nights that bring students and their parents back to school to have fun learning together. The Academic Mentors program matches gifted students with professionals in the community in areas of career and curricular interest. Finally, CRI develops and conducts career fairs, science fairs, multi-cultural festivals and other customized special events for elementary, middle and high schools.
