Make a Difference with Avalon Hospice as a volunteer while fulfilling your practicum or required volunteer hours. As a Social Worker your talents and experience will come in handy while you interact with families and patients at a critical time. Volunteers will help manage care for patients and learn from our Social Services team how to respond to crises and also how to talk to patients about those difficult subjects. Description
Avalon Hospice is comprised of a team of doctors, nurses, aids, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers. Our approach to hospice care considers the wide range of needs patients and families experience when facing a terminal illness. Avalon's collaborative team approach ensures patients' and their families' specific needs are targeted and addressed quickly and with great compassion.
