Shift 1: 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM (Monday - Friday)
Shift 2: 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM (Monday - Thursday)
Dress Code: Due to safety concerns all volunteers must wear close-toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops) and clothes appropriate to work in a kitchen environment.
Job Description: This program prepares and distributes breakfast and after school snacks to schools and partner agencies. Volunteers will receive a briefing on the day’s meals to be distributed to Kid’s Cafe sites, issue and document the pick-up of meals, load meals into hot/cold holding containers, accurately document times that meals were picked up, and that equipment was issued and returned. Volunteers will also assist with kitchen cleanup duties as requested by the Executive Chef: wash, sanitize and store kitchen tools and equipment, prep for next day’s meal, sweep, mop and store supplies as needed.
