Service Day!
Please join us in working to make a difference!

Join the Arab American National Museum as a spcial events volunteer! We have a multitude of events that take place including (but not limited to) musical concerts, film screenings, panel discussions, journalism & academic conferences, zumba classes, and much more!

We're looking for fun, energetic, and outgoing volunteers to help staff our special events. The best part is, as a thank you, you're allowed free admission to whatever event you're volunteering at! It's a great way to rub elbows with famous singers/filmmakers/movers & shakers in the community, gain a cultural experience, and build up your resume!

Location:

13624 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn, MI 48126, US

Mission Statement

The Arab American National Museum's mission is to document, preserve, celebrate, and educate the public on the history, life, culture and contributions of Arab Americans. We serve as a resource to enhance knowledge and understanding about Arab Americans and their presence in the United States.

Description

The Arab American National Museum is the first museum in the world devoted to Arab American history and culture. By bringing the voices and faces of Arab Americans to mainstream audiences, we continue our commitment to dispel misconceptions about Arab Americans and other minorities. The Museum brings to light the shared experiences of immigrants and ethnic groups, paying tribute to the diversity of our nation.

The Arab American National Museum is a proud Affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. and the only Smithsonian Affiliate in southeastern Michigan to date.
