June thru August - Tursday - Saturday from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Job Description: This is a 27 acre working garden, cultivating fresh produce to provide healthy, nutritious fresh foods for distribution. Volunteers work as a group to assist the farmer with planting, harvesting, caring for, and cleaning fruits, vegetables, and other edible plants. Other duties may include composting, weeding, digging, hoeing and watering in the field. At times assistance is needed with landscape and property clean up. Come and get your hands in the dirt!
Please Note: Volunteer sessions could be cancelled due to weather. Should a cancellation occur we will attempt to provide another volunteer opportunity, but if the sessions are full you may be asked to come back another day. Individual’s sensitive to bee stings should not volunteer in the garden.
* This is an outdoor activity. Please be prepared with closed toe shoes, sun screen, hats and sun glasses. To protect your legs, shorts are not recommended if harvesting vegetables. Water is provided. Cautionary Note: Individual’s sensitive to bee stings should not volunteer in the farm & garden.
