ORGANIZATION: Columbus Metropolitan Library

Reading Buddies
Grab a book and read with a buddy.

Can you spare a 90 minutes each week to help children gain an invaluable skill?

Join the team at our Karl Road branch for an hour and one-half each week, and help guide young minds as they learn to read. Read with children for 15 minutes, and your job is to help them when they need it, challenge them when it sounds too easy, and guide them to new books and the fun of reading.

Research from OSU shows that each Reading Buddies sessions improves their scores on the 3rd grade reading test.

If you want to share your great love of books and reading with a child, this is the place to be!

Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Time: 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
