Help your neighbors in need!
Here's a group working on a wheelchair ramp for a homeowner with a disability.

His Helping Hands completes no-cost home repairs for Tri-County senior citizens, veterans, single parents, those with disabilities, and low-income homeowners. Projects are completed 12 months a year, under the watchful eyes of volunteer contractors and trades pros.

Depending on their skills and comfort level, volunteers can be active in every aspect of the project, from meeting with homeowners and scheduling jobs to swinging a hammer to "mudding drywall." We believe in giving volunteers big jobs!

Volunteering with His Helping Hands can be a one-time-thing or as much as a couple times a week. You can volunteer as an individual, as a family, or as a group. In the spring, summer and fall, most of our projects are outside; the winter finds us indoors mostly.

To get started, send us an email at redeemed797@yahoo.com and let us know your name and contact info. We will then arrange for you to meet our Executive Director Jeff Heft who will invite you to a jobsite to see what we do. Then you and Jeff will discuss ways you would feel comfortable helping and get you signed up.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to demonstrate God's love by providing materials and workmanship to make homes of the elderly, disabled, fatherless, and disadvantaged safe, accessible and secure.

A Christian nonprofit ministry that provides home repair and maintenance to those in need in the Peoria, Illinois/Tri-county community, we serve the elderly, single mothers, people with disabilities, veterans and others in need who live in their own home, but are unable to maintain the property. The organization often assists with health-related home improvements for those with disabilities including wheelchair ramps and accessibility renovations. These projects are completed at no cost to the homeowner. The projects are completed under the watchful eyes of experienced contractors and carpenters that supervise our volunteers. Since its inception in the Spring of 2000, His Helping Hands has completed over 500 jobs for almost 300 families and individuals. Last year, His Helping Hands was blessed to complete 93 projects in the Tri-County area. This year, we hope to complete more than 100 jobs. The program takes place 12 months a year, weather permitting.
