If you enjoy interacting with people, have a passion for aviation, and want to get more involved with your community, consider volunteering at Historic Flight Foundation.
Ideal volunteers are dependable, friendly, and have a positive attitude. We are seeking volunteers who can commit to at least a four hour shift once a week (availability on the weekend is a plus!)
As a tour guide you will represent Historic Flight Foundation and provide a positive experience to our visitors; young and old.
While previous knowledge of aviation history is a plus, it isn’t required! We will teach you the historical and practical knowledge you need to give tours. As a volunteer, you will learn the history of the museum collection, volunteer policies & procedures, tips & tricks for communicating with guests, and shadow a current docent.
We are open to the public from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tues-Sun.

Mission Statement

MISSION STATEMENT Historic Flight at Kilo-7 offers a collection of the most important aircraft produced between 1927 and 1957--all restored and airborne again. Our mission goes beyond serving as trustees of an era. We want you to experience the roar of our F8F "Wampus Cat" taking off. Watch engineers at work restoring the aircraft to flying condition. Share the rush of viewing international treasures from all angles. Whether you’re an experienced aviator, a student of history, or a newcomer to our world, we want to spark and fuel your passion--both for aviation and for epiphanies born from hard labor.

Description

Our volunteer program serves as an outlet to utilize your skills and develop positive outreach with our community. Together we seek to build a mission based on education & restoration.
