Share your love of reading with a child in need.
Are you over the age of 50? OASIS needs volunteers to give one hour per week during the school year to tutor at-risk children in local elementary schools. Attend the one-hour informational coffee to learn more, no obligation.
You will need to pass a background check, (no cost to you), attend orientation and tutor training. Once you are trained, you select a school from our extensive list in 4 school districts then use books, learning materials, and supplies all provided by OASIS to help a child learn to read.
You and the child will spend one hour together each week at the school (we have a school near you) working on reading and social skills. OASIS provides your orientation, training, materials, books, background check and more.
