Water for Humans is seeking a web developer who can help us perform an upgrade to WordPress and make periodic update site enhancements as directed. This position will report to the Internet Director and Lead Web Developer (webmaster).
This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to fill out his/her professional portfolio and gain important references.
Water for Humans operates in a team oriented work environment and individuals are expected to demonstrate leadership qualities, perform with high standards of integrity, demonstrate maturity, listen actively, value self understanding, exhibit deep commitment, use good humor and communicate effectively.
We are seeking help in keeping our site up to date and fresh.
Requirements:
Our new website is "WordPress". Experience with that platform is required.
Water for Humans staff are not co-located (we all work out of our homes). Thus, the candidate must be able to work independently and be very comfortable working remotely via phone and the internet.

Water for Humans is a Seattle, Washington, based 501(c)3 company, incorporated in April, 2008, with the mission of providing sustainable low-cost, clean water solutions to underserved populations while ensuring that water remains a local, public resource. We work to bring sanitation and clean water to people in need through partnerships with local communities, local and international NGOs, businesses, social entrepreneurs, universities and governments. We ensure the sustainability of our projects with social innovation and public private partnerships. With these partnerships we implement techniques to increase clean water resources, eliminate the production of blackwater, sustainably treat wastewater, create local jobs and protect local water assets.
