Mission Statement
Liberty Family Outreach was created in 2004 with a heart to serve our community. Our desire is to bring hope to struggling families in Southeast Michigan and make a difference in their lives by meeting tangible and spiritual needs. The mission of Liberty Family Outreach is to build relationships with hurting families and connect them to the resources of God and the church.
Description
Summerfest has been in existence for 11 years and reaches thousands of people annually with a day of hope that meets several needs in people’s lives. Summerfest is essentially a mission trip in our community. This is an area struggling to cope with the economic disaster in Southeast Michigan. We work together to meet tangable needs such as clothing, food, medical help, school supplies and more. We offer hope and restoration to people who have lost hope. It is our desire to make a positive impact in our community and change lives. We have been a Forgotten Harvest Mobile Food Pantry for a little over 4 years now (since 2011). We serve between 300-400 families weekly who are food insecure. Hunger does not have a zip code and it doesn't disappear as the seasons change. Our hope is to meet an immediate need and build a relationship that would be the bridge to help restore stability.
