Quad rugby

Every week volunteers are needed to assist at the Northridge Knights Quad Rugby Team practice. Volunteers will be asked to assist with equipment, helping people into their chairs, coaching and instruction, and at times participating in the game.

Quad rugby is a full contact wheelchair sport that is played in chariot style wheelchairs inside a gymnasium on a basketball court. The object of the game is to move a volleyball from one side of the court through a goal line on the other side with the opposing team trying to crash into you to stop your progress.

Practices are every Sunday from 11:30 AM - 3 PM

Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.

Average age of team members is 30 years old.

Willing to learn and enjoys full contact sports.

We are looking for individuals, families, and groups who have an interest in engaging with people struggling with physical limitations and disabilities who are trying to rebuild their lives after life-changing injuries and diagnosis. Volunteers assist in supporting events, office functions, outreach assembly, and engagement with community members.
