During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
What does it mean to be a volunteer with Senior Access? It means changing someone's life. It means making a difference in ways that impact health and emotional well-being. It means befriending the lonely and the often overlooked segment of our society.
What would you do if you could no longer drive? Our clients do not drive and rely on others to be able to leave their homes and go to appointments, get groceries and other errands.
Volunteer drivers and clients take safety precautions by wearing masks and using hand sanitizers.
Volunteer drivers help individuals 60 and older to remain independent and age in their own homes. Be a volunteer driver and help your senior neighbors get to doctor appointments, grocery stores, libraries, beauty salons, etc. Volunteers also needed to complete handyman tasks, help with light yard work, make phone calls and visits to those more lonely or help in the office. Providing transportation also helps relieve loneliness and isolation. Be a driver and a friend!
Schedule around your time using our web-based platform. Family-friendly...bring your children or grandchildren, and flexible to work with your schedule. Volunteers determine where and how far they want to drive.
Our clients live in Round Rock, Hutto, Pflugerville, East Austin, and Manor.
Volunteer and be the key to someone's independence today.
