We are currently in need of 2 male mentors to assist clients with learning English (reading, writing, speaking) and adjusting to life in America.
Mentoring is a great way to make a positive difference in the life of another person and develop a new friendship in the process! Mentors are matched by gender and meet in the client's home for at least 2 hours each week for a minimum duration of 6 months. You will plan activities each week to help your mentee achieve his goals. This could take many forms ranging from paper/pencil exercises to watching an American movie or tv show together to exploring the city! The possiblities are endless.
Pan-African Association (PAA) is a mutual aid organization in the Edgewater/Rogers Park area that works to serve, empower, and promote the integration of refugees and immigrants from Africa and beyond. For more information, please visit our website: www.panafricanassociation.org.
