ORGANIZATION: Literacy Connections of the Hudson Valley

  • 1 person is interested

We are looking for volunteers who wish to share their love of literacy in their local

community. If you have a passion to help others create a better quality of life, we

want to work with you. Your commitment could help a mom understand her child’s

teacher, or help a father find better work. Don't have experience being a tutor? No

problem! Literacy Connections provides free training! Once you are trained, you have

the option to provide one on one tutoring or, instruct a small class. You can provide

tutoring for english speakers or non-english speakers based on your preference.

Volunteer tutoring is flexible as you can work it around your schedule and that of your

student(s). To sign up, or if you have any questions, please feel free to call Ms.

Mariksa Nieves at 845-452-8670.
