This year on Thanksgiving Day, AFH will attempt to prepare and serve 1000 full sit-down turkey dinners for the homeless and for families in need. That's twice as many as last year's successful event! We will be hosting this dinner at the Westminster Community Center again and the on-line sign-up form can be accessed through our website at www.afhusa.org. Once on that site, go to "Get Involved" and you'll find the on-line sign-up form to volunteer your help for this fantastic event! Thanksgiving Day is right around the corner, so don’t wait too long to volunteer the services of your family or organization.
Food and cash donations are also needed for this event. If your organization would like to do a food drive or fundraiser for the event or, if they would like to help prepare turkeys, side dishes or deserts, please contact Elizabeth Duong at (714)897-3221 x115 or email her at volunteer@afhusa.org. We are also hoping to find a club or organization this year to donate materials for, to create, and to put up Thanksgiving decorations in the dining room.
