Healthy Visions Mentors Change Lives

Healthy Visions is proactively impacting the lives of Cincinnati's inner-city youth through its TYRO Rites of Passage program. The program will serve high-school and junior-high aged students at Reading Community Schools (grades 7 - 12). For 20 weeks, the students will participate in various activities - like one week attending the TYRO in-classroom program. The following school week, the students will have a one-on-one meeting with the mentor and participate in a planned activity that encourages relatability, accountability and leadership. Mentors will empower students to make better decisions and cultivate stronger relationships.
The success of this program depends on having mentors for the students. People like you who are willing to be a part of a revolutionary change. If you or someone you know are ready to make a difference in the lives of Cincinnati's inner-city youth, apply to be a Healthy Visions mentor today!

About HEALTHY VISIONS

Location:

9990 ZIG ZAG RD, MONTGOMERY, OH 45242, US

Mission Statement

To educate and provide youth, ages 12 to 18, with the skills and knowledge needed to make healthier behavioral choices and to develop stronger relationships during adolescence.

Description

Healthy Visions tackles the tough issues facing teens today, from substance abuse to low self-image, our presenters deliver the straight truth with a goal of helping students understand that actions have consequences. By weighing the potential risks of certain behaviors against the alleged benefits, teens get a clear picture: real fun never stems from alcohol, drugs, or sex. Instead, our presenters illustrate how respect, love, and a good sense of humor are the keys to making better decisions, both inside and outside of the classroom.
