Fresh Alliance is a partnership between Oregon Food Bank and grocery stores throughout the metro region. We collect perishable food ( anything refrigerated you’d find in a grocery store) that is on/near expiration, bring it back to our facility, and get volunteer help to repack it. Since this food is all extremely perishable, our goal is to have this food ready for agencies to pick up the morning after it comes to us.

The exciting news is that this program is growing by leaps and bounds; we’re receiving more food than ever before! The challenge we face is getting enough volunteer help to repack this extremely perishable food and get it out to agencies as quickly as possible.

Please consider volunteering for this wonderful program! Shifts take place Monday through Friday from 1:30pm-4:30pm.

Oregon Food Bank takes a holistic approach to ending hunger by bringing our community together to provide food, education and hope to our neighbors in need.

We provide emergency food to people who are hungry through a cooperative statewide network of hunger-relief agencies, helping 1 in 5 households fend off hunger. OFB also leads statewide efforts to increase resources for hungry families and to eliminate the root causes of hunger by advocating for fair public policies, strengthening community food systems and providing nutrition and garden education to help people become more self-sufficient and resourceful.
