Children need safe places. Parents learn how to set aside their differences for the sake of the child.

This is a great opportunity to assist the Executive Director of with management of the operations of the agency. You will enter private, personal information about clients into our database and schedule appointments with our therapists. You will also, at certain periods prepare reports on FACES statistics and assist with compiling monthly reports for the board of directors.
Training for this position.

2 Shifts

  • morning / 09:00 AM to 11:45 AM
    This is from 9 am to 1 pm. You will be given work assignments and interact with the Executive Director for ongoing training.
  • afternoon / 01:00 PM to 04:45 PM
    This is from 1 pm to 5 pm. You will be given work assignments and interact with the Executive Director for ongoing training.

Mission Statement

F.A.C.E.S. mission is to provide community based no and low cost professional counseling and other services for children and their families in crisis from separation and divorce, and to provide education to prevent family violence. FACES is a training facility, offering opportunities for learning about therapy and working with California family law courts, social services and other community organizations.

Description

Family Assessment Counseling & Education Services, bettter known as F.A.C.E.S. was founded in 1988 for children and families in crisis.

Our Programs were developed in response to community needs They include:

  • Family and Child Counseling, monitored visits, anger management, parenting classes, single parents groups, co-parents groups, teen anger management, childrens groups.
  • Education Services for professionals who work with families. English and Spanish, Farsi, Korean, Vietnamese, etc.

Fundraising events include a volunteer recognition lunch, a barbecue, a gala dinner in the fall, a pie eating contest on CSUF campus, a Thanksgiving Feast for volunteers, several restaurant fundraisers, a casino night and Hearts in Action every year in February.   • Orientation or Training
  • You can work two or more shifts per week for a minimum of 8 hours per week.
  • Good computer skills and good phone skills are required. Keeping a level head with family members in crisis is essential.
