Our Large Truck needs DRIVERS! and capable hands and hearts willing to put in a few hours of work to ensure that CAH continues to support our community at its best.
Every Tuesday and Friday, Community Action House runs its Large Truck to and from various locations around Holland - our food pantries, resale store, to recycling centers, just to name a few - completing critical logistics for the agency. We are looking for additional volunteers to:
Recycle! We tear down tons of unusable donations each week and recycle what we can, helping to recoup costs, keeping as must out of a landfill (helping the earth and our community, yes!)
Transport! We move tons of food, feeding hundreds of families each month, and thousands of people each year!
Logistics! As Community Action House has grown, so has its needs - help solve challenges with warehousing and logistics
Most shifts will begin and end at CAH's General Store on the South Side of Holland.

Description
Community Action House is a non-profit organization committed to breaking the cycle of poverty in the greater Holland, Michigan area and surrounding Ottawa County. For nearly 50 years, we've been serving the community helping families prosper- with food, clothing, education, opportunity, and hope. As a community powered nonprofit, we are what our community chooses to do together!
You can volunteer at our Food Club, helping local families achieve food security, at our Community Kitchen, serving up warm food and friendly faces everyday of the week, at our Resale Store, refurbishing used items to find new homes and support our programs, with our Lakeshore Food Rescue program, turning excess food into food access, or at the Holland Community Garden, working to grow food that goes directly to our neighbors.
