Project CARE is an academic mentoring program that takes place during the school day. Mentors are asked to work with students in 6-8th grade primarily in areas of reading and math. Mentors can volunteer a minimum of 1 day a week for an hour and work with the same teacher/students each week. No need to make plans for the classroom. The teacher puts together lesson plans for the mentor to either work one-on-one, small group or whole class. The commitment would be for one semester or the whole school year.
