Tutors & Mentors
Isaac Dickson Elementary School is looking for dedicated and passionate volunteers to provide academic support to our students. We currently have the greatest need for math and literacy tutors. You may be asked to work either in a one-on-one or a small group setting. Tutors will help students complete assignments as well as provide positive feedback on the student's progress. No prior experience of tutoring or teaching is required, and training opportunities are available for those interested.
Classroom Assistants
As well, IDES is looking for volunteers in a K-5 classroom for 1-2 hours a week (or more) to help a teacher with tasks, tutoring, and other support. You may also be asked to assist/supervise students in small groups with teacher-directed activities.
