Project CARE is an academic mentoring program that takes place during the school day and works with students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade in primarily reading or math. We look for our mentors to give 1 day 1 hour per week for either one semester or the entire school year. It would be the same time time and same day each week. We would match our mentor's availability with a teacher's schedule and the mentor would work with that teacher and his/her students each week. The session could be one-on-one, small group or the whole class depending upon the material. No need to plan the activity the teacher plans for you BUT consistant participation is KEY to the success of the Project CARE Program.
