Help keep South Run RECenter and Park beautiful. Volunteer to help with landscaping. Be prepared to pull weeds, spread mulch, trim bushes, rake leaves, etc. Please bring garden gloves, water, a snack, and dress for the weather. If you have them, bring a wide rake and pruning clippers. If you are earning Service Hours bring your Service Hours form. Check in at the Front Desk of the RECenter. Questions? Are you in high school? Students 16 and older are most welcome. If you are not yet 16, we ask that you bring along a participating adult to work as well. We have had a large number of younger students and find that a few extra adult hands are most helpful.
If your volunteer service has been recommended to you for any violation of law, you must be screened by either ACS (Alternative Community Service) at Volunteer Fairfax or by Opportunities, Alternatives and Resources at http://www.oarfairfax.org

Description
The Park Services Division of the Fairfax County Park Authority undertakes an important and challenging task that relies on committed volunteers. Volunteers ensure the continued high level of service to county residents and act as stewards of the land surrounding the county RECenters.
