Enriching the lives of our patients and their loved ones is Heartland Hospice's primary mission. We need your help to fulfill the needs of our patients and families by offering your musical gifts, which will provide comfort and relief during their hospice journey.

Your role will focus on uplifting patients/families while playing familiar or requested music with an instrument, your voice or electronic devices (CD player, phone, etc.). An additional goal is the enhancement of patient experiences through reminiscence and companionship opportunities that arise with the use of music.

Our patients and volunteers find these visits to be some of the best moments of their lives. Please help us to continue this rewarding service.

Volunteers offer services in office settings, special projects, and direct patient care. Office volunteers provide filing, typing and other administrative support. They also answer phones, assist with workshops, inventory hospice supplies, assemble marketing materials and educational packets and file documentation.

Special project volunteers provide indirect support of patients with arts and crafts as well as other special activities. They make quilts, afghans, bibs, slippers, and lap robes.
