Saratoga Historical Park and Museum

Do you like children? Join our group of education docents to teach pioneer living using the Saratoga History Museum, McWilliams house and one-room schoolhouse. Docents are trained and given a manual. Must be available during the week and enjoy children. Typically classes are for 2nd-5th grade and last 15 minutes. Great fun!

Mission Statement

The mission of the Saratoga Historical Foundation is to preserve Saratoga's rich history for the education and enjoyment of the community.

The foundation operates the Saratoga History Museum, historic McWilliams House and one-room schoolhouse each weekend.

Description

The Saratoga Historical Foundation handles the following:

3 membership programs featuring a historian and historic topic

The Blossom Festival and Heritage Day

3 exhibits each year and associated receptions

volunteer recognition dinner

Education program teaches pioneer living to over 1000 students in schools, home schools, Scout groups each year. Program meets California state standards for history for fourth grade.
