About

Do you want to become a positive role model for a student? Do you enjoy science and engineering? Do you love space?

CIS-SA is looking for adults who can support a weekly afterschool Space Club at one of 4 Harlandale ISD middle schools. Our preference is a college student or professional in STEM fields, but anyone with an interest in space and engineering is welcome! Mentors will be assigned a middle school and support the Space Club instructor in guiding students through engineering challenges related to space exploration. Past activities include: model rockets, high altitude weather balloon, Mars Colony Design Competition, 3D printing, and more!

As a STEM mentor, you will become a role model and inspire students to succeed in school and pursue a science or engineering career pathway!
