Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program (I-HELP) is a program of Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest in need of volunteers to assist our case managers that work with women experiencing homelessness.
Through the assistance of the faith community, Mesa United Way, The City of Mesa and community-based organizations, I-HELP provides lodging, food, comfort, and opportunity for homeless women in Mesa and the East Valley.
Volunteers will help with intake paperwork and housing applications as well as assist with the development of "Life Plans" for the women.
We need volunteers Monday through Thursday from 5:30pm-7:30pm or 7:30pm-9:30pm. Volunteers can create their own schedule with program manager. We are looking for someone in Mesa who is available to make a 6 month commitment. Locations rotate volunteers can choose location that is most convenient for them.
Volunteers must apply for a fingerprint clearance card if they do not have a current one. The cost of the fingerprint clearance card will be incurred by the volunteer.
