Spark the interest of youth under-represented in STEM fields through fun, hands-on projects. You will work with the Site Coordinator to mentor and facilitate activities for a small group of youth.
Some of the projects we have worked on so far include: Chromotography, Robotics, Energy Projects such as Solar Cars, Forensic Science with crime scene set-ups, Animal Science, and 3-D Printing. No need to be a "techie", we are all learning together! (but if you are you can help the rest of us ;) )
To become a Mentor we ask for a minimum commitment of 1 year, but please contact us if you are interested in short-term opportunities as well, such as coming in to complere a particular project. For example, we are definitely looking for someone to teach a computer coding project!
