Do you love California history? Want to learn more about California and Bay area history?!
Become an event volunteer at California Historical Society. Event and Program volunteers assist with set-up and check-in before program, and answer general guest questions during special events and gallery hours. Events are typically on weekday evenings (4:30-8:30pm) and allow volunteers a chance to experience how an institution runs a public program. The volunteers also get to sit in and enjoy that evening’s program free of charge (including film screenings, historian lectures, and panel discussions about history and current events)!
Event duties include: Setting up the program from setting up chairs, helping with Audio Visual, greeting and checking in guests, and breakdown at the end of the night.
Shifts: Shifts for night events begin at 5:00pm and end at 8:30pm at the latest
