Do you have an hour a week to spend brightening another person's day? Our patients have been diagnosed with a terminal illness, but still have a lot of life, love and light to share with a special person who can visit them on a regular basis. We serve patients in facilities as well as their homes throughout the Mason/Kings Mills area.

Description
Hospice is the only health care system that mandates the involvement of volunteers. This reflects the history of the hospice movement in the United States, which started as an all-volunteer system.
Hospice is designed to provide comfort care as well as spiritual and emotional support in the final phase of a terminal illness. At HarmonyCares, we focus on enhancing the quality of life and our volunteers play a key role in our mission. The hospice philosophy reaches beyond the physical needs of a patient and ensures that a patient spend their final days in comfort and with dignity.
HarmonyCares Hospice volunteers are as diverse as our professional staff. Compassion and caring are the hallmarks of any great hospice volunteer, and their involvement are a vital part of our team.
