Manhattan Youth Middle School Afterschool programs are looking for volunteers to help tutor in all subjects for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year. We are looking for individuals interested in working with students in grades 6-8 in an afterschool setting (3-6pm). This is a wonderful volunteer opportunity for retired teachers or those looking for experience in education. Looking for individuals who are interested in 1:1 or group tutoring opportunities.

Manhattan Youth Recreation and Resources, Inc. provides the highest quality childcare and after-school programs plus academic, recreational and cultural activities for children, families and individuals who live or work in Manhattan, regardless of income. Our programs stimulate, challenge and strengthen children, teens, adults, seniors and families. Our services respond to the needs of our community. Our primary activities remain camp , after school and our community center. We also engage in a number of civic issues that impact community life in Manhattan.

Description

Manhattan Youth is a community-based organization offering comprehensive after-school programming for elementary and middle school students throughout Manhattan. In addition, Manhattan Youth runs a Downtown Community Center, serving families in the Tribeca area, offering a variety of classes and events.
