Assist Receptionist by providing coverage of switchboard and reception, maintaining the agency's image through professional greeting and directing of visitors and callers.
Appropriately interacts with clients and visitors, requiring sensitivity to vulnerable client population.
Work involves offering general information about Catholic Charities’ services to callers and visitors.
Good communication skills
Previous experience with customer service, answering phones, or working with the public is helpful.
Ability to multitask
Ability to observe the confidential nature of the agency's service to its clients
Professionally greet callers and visitors
Secure sufficient minimum information necessary to direct calls to appropriate area
Deal appropriately with problematic clients following pre-established procedures
Effectively operate multi-line switchboard and answer calls within two to four rings
May assist with some clerical tasks including sorting mail, preparing mailings, etc.
