Beanstalk are looking for people who enjoy working with children and helping them achieve their potential. Patience, enthusiasm and a sense of fun are all key to this role. This opportunity runs throughout term time and you will be at the school for two 90 minute sessions a week. You can sign up at any time during the school year and will be trained before you start.
Our reading helpers come from all walks of life and all backgrounds. And age is certainly no barrier!
At Beanstalk we believe that every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential. Literacy is a fundamental part of that process. Each Beanstalk reading helper supports three children and sees each child for two 30 minute sessions a week, during term-time, within the school day and on school premises, for three terms. With Beanstalk's support, the child's approach to learning and enjoying reading is transformed. 93% of all children supported by Beanstalk reading helpers make meaningful improvement in their reading ability.
